Reporting to the Executive Leader of Allied Health and Support Services, the Food Services Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, and supervision of all activities related to the hospital’s food services.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and support the food services staff.
· Ensure the quality of meals served to patients, the cafeteria, and Meals on Wheels (taste, temperature, portions, special diets).
· Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.
· Manage food and supply purchases while respecting the department’s budget.
· Collaborate with dietitians, medical staff, and other departments.
· Participate in food service committees and the Health & Safety Committee.
· Prepare staff schedules, performance evaluations, and monthly statistical reports.
· Participate in staff recruitment and orientation.
Qualifications
· High school diploma.
· Diploma in Food Service Supervision (CSNM or equivalent).
· Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in food services.
· Proficient with computer systems (e.g., Sysco Synergy Tech Suite).
· Bilingual (French and English).
· Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and commitment to safety.
Working Conditions
· Full-time position, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week).
· On-call availability as scheduled.
· Ability to work in a dynamic environment, sometimes noisy, with possible temperature changes.
Benefits
· The salary range for this position is $68,270 to $79,000 annually plus benefits.
