Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital (Hearst) is seeking an Executive Leader for the Surgical Suite and Emergency Departments on a full-time basis.
Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital (Hearst) is located in a rural community of Northern Ontario. It serves a predominantly French-speaking population as well as First Nations people and other cultural groups within the catchment area from Mattice-Val Côté to Constance Lake. Forestry is the main economic driver.
Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital (Hearst) is a fully accredited, forty-four (44) bed facility, offering primary and secondary care, long-term care, palliative care, surgical services, oncology and other health promotion services.
Position summary
The Executive Leader is responsible for the operation of all aspects of nursing care of the Emergency, Surgical Suite and Medical Device Reprocessing (MDRD) Departments to ensure quality patient care through the effective, efficient delivery of established standards with legislative and budgetary requirements. This position has an on-call rotation. The Executive Leader reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
Skills and qualifications
- Graduate-level education in healthcare or clinical practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or a related discipline considered a strong asset.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare settings, including management responsibilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare service management methods and financial management practices.
The ideal candidate should have a thorough working knowledge of the acute healthcare and Emergency and Surgical Suite environment, healthcare management methods and financial management practices. The ability to communicate effectively in French and in English is required as Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital (Hearst) is designated under the French Language Services Act.
Benefits
· The salary range for this position is $111,540 to $130,960 annually plus benefits.
