We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Shop Assistant to support our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Position Summary

The Shop Assistant plays a key role in supporting daily shop operations by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is interested in gaining experience in a mechanical/service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, lunchroom, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, and remove garbage and recyclables regularly
• Assist with general shop upkeep and tool organization
• Support technicians with basic tasks such as removing wheels, performing oil changes, and other minor mechanical duties (based on experience)
• Perform routine maintenance tasks around the facility
• Receive, organize, and store parts and supplies
• Assist with moving vehicles and equipment, as required
• Ensure all work areas comply with safety regulations and standards
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
• Reliable and punctual

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a shop or mechanical environment
• Basic mechanical knowledge (e.g., oil changes, tire removal)
• Experience using shop tools and equipment
