Caron Equipment Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts/Service Coordinator to join our team in Timmins, ON. In this role, you will manage the procurement, inventory, and timely delivery of parts and supplies required for equipment maintenance and service operations. You’ll work closely with technicians, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure operational efficiency and minimal equipment downtime.
Responsibilities:
Parts & Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies.
- Process purchase orders and track shipments.
- Receive, inspect, and reconcile incoming parts with purchase orders.
- Maintain organized and clean inventory and parts storage areas.
Service Coordination:
- Coordinate with service technicians to confirm parts requirements.
- Ensure parts are available for scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Schedule service appointments and track work order progress.
- Update records and close completed work orders.
Vendor & Supplier Liaison:
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Request quotes, negotiate pricing, and track delivery timelines.
- Follow up on delayed or backordered parts.
Administrative & Reporting Duties:
- Generate regular inventory usage and reorder reports.
- Assist with warranty claims and return of defective items.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational policies.
- Provide administrative support to the service department.
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience in parts coordination, inventory management, or service support.
- Familiarity with equipment and heavy machinery parts is an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Customer-focused, team-oriented, and solutions-driven.
Additional Information:
- Work is primarily in an office and shop environment.
- Must be capable of lifting parts up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Occasional travel to vendor sites or job locations may be required.
