Position Summary

Under the direction of the Facility Services Supervisor, the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide will perform the necessary labour required to maintain the cleanliness of the facility.

Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of the floors, walls, woodwork, windows, etc. in the interior of the Home
• Perform laundry duties as assigned.
• Required to participate and support the City of Timmins Continuous Improvement Program in order to help foster a culture of operational excellence;
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalency.
• Previous related experience required.
• Sympathetic attitude towards the elderly.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Current clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen required.
• Current WHMIS certification an asset.
• Ability to adhere to all infection prevention and control protocols and screening requirements.
