Position Summary
Under the direction of the Clinical Dietician/Dietary Supervisor the Dietary Aide is responsible for the physical preparation and dispensing of food and the overall maintenance of the food service area.
Duties
• Serve all meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper) to residents on their assigned unit following all Food Safety Standards.
• Completion of Daily, Weekly or Monthly cleaning as scheduled in their assigned areas as per Food Safety Standards.
• Assist with the completion of food preparation in the Main Kitchen area
• Required to participate and support the City of Timmins Continuous Improvement Program in order to help foster a culture of operational excellence;
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Grade 12 education
• Food Handling Course required (completed within the last five (5) years)
• Previous experience in Food Healthcare Industry as asset
• Sympathetic attitude towards the elderly
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Ability to adhere to all infection prevention and control protocols and screening requirements
• Current and clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
