DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

v Support the RECE in the development and implementation of childcare programs that encourage physical, cognitive, emotional and social development

v Provide a safe and stimulating environment that promotes creativity

v Have the ability to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents /guardians

v Assist with the observation of children to ensure early intervention of supports if required, and assist with the preparation of reports for parents, guardians or supervisors

v Provide supervision to children while conducting outdoor physical

      activities and field trips

v Assist with daily housekeeping policies

Qualifications:

      • Current First Aid/CPR Certification

      • Clean Vulnerable Sector Check

      • Have an understanding of child development

      • Eager and motivated to learn

      • Ability to adapt to changes in working environments and be flexible

      • Enjoys being outdoors and participating in physical activity

·         $23/hr + RRSP + health benefits, clothing allowance, bonuses, paid training, paid personal days

·         Must be available Monday through Friday between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM for scheduled 8-hour shifts, which may be either opening or closing shifts.

·         Consistent attendance is essential—if you are unable to commit to a regular weekday schedule, please do not apply
