Knowledge, Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

• Heavy Duty Operator (Loader)
• Minimum 2 year’s experience
• DZ Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Accountable and dependable
• Motivated & team orientation

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Shift work
• Keep the yard tidy
• Store and organized the yard material
• Keep the yard clear of snow and ice
• Salt and sand walkways
• Plow the yard as required
• Keep entrance and exit pathways clear at all times
• Maintain the steel inventory as required
• Maintain off-cuts of material organized
• Check inventory on material in stock for ongoing jobs (e.g. counter, quotes, re-orders etc.)
• Ensure that equipment is used correctly
• Daily maintenance log book on loader as per check list
• Ensure good workmanship and quality
• Oversee condition of equipment, making recommendations for repairs or maintenance as required
• Load shipments as required
• Use wood shop to fabricate box, any carpentry
• Work Safe at all times
• Cooperate and complete all in-house training as necessary.
• Work in a safe manner by following all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and Company Policies and Procedures
• Perform other essential duties as required
