Kemp Elliott & Blair is a small accounting firm that currently has 5 partners and 16 staff. The firm offers a
variety of services including but not limited to:
• Preparation and filing of personal, corporate and trust tax returns
• Financial statement presentation with various engagement reports including compilation, review
and audit
• Bookkeeping services, including payroll and all government filings
• Consulting and tax planning for owner/managers
Qualifications:
• Completion of a college diploma or university degree in business/accounting/bookkeeping
• Three to five years of prior experience in bookkeeping and payroll
• Sound knowledge of payroll calculations, deductions and related government filings
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and Sage 50
• Self-motivation and a strong work ethic with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Sound judgement regarding confidential and sensitive matters
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
Duties and Job Description:
• Assist clients with completion of monthly bookkeeping and HST filings
• Processing of weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll for clients and preparation of associated government filings
• Other tasks as assigned
Compensation will be determined based on experience and education level.
We provide 4-day work weeks for 6 months of the year, extended health benefits and a deferred profit-sharing plan (DPSP).
